Designing and extruding a custom aluminum profile is a critical process — one, where getting it right the first time, can save you time, money, and unnecessary complications. If a profile fails to meet its functional requirements after production begins, the cost of tooling, material waste, and delays can be significant.

With over a decade of expertise in custom aluminum solutions, we ensure your profile is engineered precisely for its intended purpose — whether it’s a semi-finished or end-use product. From initial concept to full-scale production, our team supports you every step of the way.

Our Process: From Design to Series Production

1. Submit Your Profile Design

You can start by sending us your technical drawing or profile concept — via our online submission page or email.
Don’t have a finalized design yet? No problem. Our engineers can assist you during the design phase to ensure optimal profile performance.

2. Design Review & Quotation

Within a few business days, we will:

• Review your drawing for technical feasibility
• Provide expert feedback or optimization suggestions
• Send you a detailed quotation including tooling costs, material specifications, and estimated lead time

3. Approval of Profile Drawing

If you accept the quotation, we’ll provide a final, detailed profile drawing for your approval. This document includes:

• Profile dimensions (inner and outer perimeters)
• Profile weight (kg/m)
• Tolerances
• Alloy specification
  This drawing will serve as the reference for both production and quality control.

4. Tooling & Die Manufacturing

Once you approve the final drawing (with signature and date), we initiate the die manufacturing process.
⏱ Timeline: Approximately 6 to 9 weeks from approval to trial pressing.

5. Trial Extrusion & Sample Inspection

A first extrusion is performed using the new die. From this:

• A physical sample profile is produced
• A detailed dimensional measurement report is provided (Ascona or Romidot standard)

➤ Optional: We can also provide surface treatments such as anodizing, powder coating, or machining on the sample — perfect for fit-checks, functional prototypes, or visual demos.

6. Sample Approval & Series Production

Once you approve the sample, the die is finalized (cured) and the profile is ready for series production.
